The paper colour isn't a problem, but any colour in the uploaded photo will be printed. Here are some examples:
The paper crumples have come through on this one: it would have been better to take the photo in better lighting, or correct it afterwards using the camera's editing capabilities, or an image manipulation program such as PhotoShop.
This image is lovely and bright, and the background was very white so it printed really well.
